help on 2000 cavalier air fuel guage
Sunday, April 30, 2006 8:47 AM
i just recently decided to boost the cavalier . i have already purchased the turbo kit for the car. i will be running a t3, tial wastegate 4psi, greddy bov, full exhaust., and front mount intercooler. well i have already installed the boost guage and the oil pressure guage now im trying to install the air fuel. i have connected the signal wire to the purple wire off the o2 and the meter is working but the lights swing from rich to lean really fast and there is never a constant reading to monitor the car. has anyone else had this problem before. or could i be hooking something up wrong? its grounded to the frame has its own power supply? i dont know hoping someone could help me before i start on the turbo setup. thanks

Yeah, thats why narrow band A/F gauges don't do anything for boosted engines, get a wideband. Its doing exactly what its supposed to, nothing wrong with the gauge.

Doesn't matter, it does the same thing, N/A or boosted.
