Get a coated Pacesetter header from www.gravanatuning.com. They should be able to ship out almost immediately. I ordered mine through them on Thursday and tracking says it'll be here May 2nd.

With you living in a winter state I'd say go coated. If you go painted make sure you strip the paint and repaint it with some kind of HIGH temp paint.

The black are just painted, the silver ones are an armor coat.

We are only $239.99 for the ceramic. $149.99 for the painted.

We have the painted in stock for shipment right away. (Black)

The ceramic would either come direct from pacesetter, or ship in about a week as we are out of stock and have more on order. (Ceramic Armor Coat)

I would suggest the coated also, if you drive the car in the winter.

No you will void all warrenty with pacesetter if you wrap any of their headers. I know DC Sport says the same thing about their headers, no wrap. It is very hard on a header to put wrap on it.

It is good to keep under the hood heat down, but it is really hard on the header.

I wrote Pacesetter about the Flexpipe 'deal'. They responded that a flexpipe is not needed that the socket provides more then adequate movement.
I have heard of cracked welds before from some other members but I am unclear if anyone has ever had it happen ir just 'heard' of it. Additionally Pacesetter stated that this is a popular product and they have no issues in this matter and a lengthy warranty to back it up too.
If you need a copy of the letter I can find and post.

Just responded to a similar question concerning the flex pipe. I've also heard of the header cracking, and for piece of mind if nothing else I'd put on either an upper of lower poly motor mount, or both even. I've got the lower mount installed and my car feels better now when shifting. Like its smoother driving, but there are a few more vibrations just above idle. Nothing major though.
