So far I have installed a Pacesetter header and a Vibrant cat back exhaust. The Magnaflow cat is on order, should be in on thursday. My question is..... should I have the joints welded from the extension pipe to the cat and from the cat to the cat back or would it be better to have all joints flanged, gasket and bolted together. The header is coated, the cat is stainless as is the cat back exhaust. What have you done and any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I had the whole thing welded. I did different parts at different times though. I started with the cat back, then the headers and the cat. Got it all welded and its fine. Good luck to you.

I made mine in 3 pieces - Downpipe < flange > cat, resonator, bend < flange > bend over axle, muffler

Did you have a shop weld or did you do it yourself? How much time did it take and what were the costs if you dont mind me asking? It is probably cheaper to just have it welded instead of having fabrication done for the flanges and gaskets and stuff.
