Cavalier Front strut tower bar and Shiftplus Q's!!
Friday, June 02, 2006 11:57 AM
I recently installed a B and M shiftplus on my 1998 Z24. Everything went well no check engine lights came on, or the ETS light. The instructions said if your car is a 1998 the car MUST be turned off before switching to stage one or two from the stock setting. But if your car is any other year you do not have to do this. Can anyone varify if this is true, i don't want to find out by shifting it while the cars on and then run into some problems.

A guy is selling a reactive strut tower bar for $35 cdn locally. He says it will fir a 99-01 cav. my question is why wwouldn't it fit a 98 if it fits a 99?

Thanks a lot guys i really do appreacite it.

ets light is a normal deal , nothing to worry about

unless you like the traction control , if so just set it to off , then restart the car

You don't have to shut the car off to put it from off to 1 or 2. You ahve to shut it off to put it back off or on the other setting. Also, when the car is running, you have to be in park or neutral to put it on.
