using fuel filter for PCV on AEM intake. ok or no?

I was just wandering whether this is ok or not. I got the aem intake installed onto the sunfire and for the PCV/breather hose I wanted to route it to a small fuel filter and than to the aem intake. I was just wandering whether or not this is ok. The reason why I want to do this, is that the fuel filter should ask like barrier, so that the oil doesnt leak through it and I can just have the blow by gases getting back into the intake without the oil .I can hook up a breather filter instead, but it is illegal in canada. So i was wandering whether or not this is harmful.? has it been done before?

That should be fine. I've been thinking about setting something up for my PCV system too because I'm pushing oil out under boost.

I used to race cars, now I race myself.

they make things called catch cans, its collects the oil and the only the air goes through, and you can drain it when need be

It's been done before by someone on here. El Fuego I think it was, used a clear filter on his intake. Don't know why, but he did. I just put a breather on mine and plugged the hole on the intake. Technically it's illegal but how many cops are going to look under your hood and write a ticket. And if it's something you worry about for inspections, just put the hose on and when you're done put the breather on.
