Well I have completed the exhaust. Pacesetter header, Magnaflow OBDII cat, Vibrant Cat back. All 2.25 piping. The problem I need resolved is the volume. It is quite loud and raspy at full throttle. Has anyone used the Vibrant 18" SS resonator? If so, how much did it decrease the volume and affect the raspiness of your system? Is there any other resonator you would recommend? The Vibrant part # is 1791. It is 2.25 in and out with a 3.5" outer diameter and 18" in length. Thanks for any isight you can provide.

That size would be just right if you want to get rid of the high-rpm raspiness you are experienceing.. As far as the sound level though, it won't change much. I had used a similar sixed resonaotr when I had the RK Sport single-exit exhaust on my car, and it really didn't quiet it down much. But it did get rid of the raspiness and buzziness.
Magnaflow has round bodied straight through mufflers and Thrush/Dynomax has the Magnum Glasspacks. Both will reduce the volume and raspiness of the exhaust. The longer the length, the more it will tone down the exhaust, almost to the point of sounding stock. Check out my profile for my exhaust set up. I have a 2.2L OHV and it's slightly louder thean stock, but much deeper, with no raspiness, what so ever.
