Throwing a Code Question
Friday, June 16, 2006 6:25 PM
Okay my CEL has come on now that I have installed my 56mm TB. The code it is throwing is #1137 (Lack of Downstream Heated O2 Sensor Switch, Sensor indicates Lean, Bank #1) Could this be caused by the larger TB and the fact that it is getting more air now and it is leaning things out? Just a wild guess or do you think it has nothing to do with the bigger TB? Any help would be appreciated. Additional infor: 2200 weapon R intake with header, 2.25 exhaust, hi-flow cat, magnaflow dual exhaust.

Thanks.

Is Bank #1 the first sensor or the one after the cat? Have always been confused about that? I remember reading Bank 1 and 2 don't refer to the sensors but my code book only indicates Bank #1.

Okay, I now understand yet again that Bank #1 refers to the one side of the engine (4 cylinders) and Bank #2 the other four in a V8 configuration. Being that we only have 4 cylinders we have no Bank #2. All I need to know now is which sensor it is, but my code book does not tell me that. Should I just go get two new AC Delco O2 sensors add an extension from Casper electronics and be done with it? I really don't want to pull my header and shorten the bung as some have suggested. Man I hate these sensors.
