hey well i posted about this before and here is another post about it since its doing something different this time.
when i start the car up and let it warm up fully and try to accel it sputters and the idle drops from 1200 which i have it on now to 400 and catches itself and then goes. If im going through a street area at like 20mph and then try to accel it does it also. Ive changed the tps, ics and im dont know what else to do. If i unhook primary O2 sesor (in header) it doesnt have this problem at all just has really bad gas mileage and smells of exhaust and has some loss of power but does NOT sputter.
The car throws no CEL's at all when its sputtering (of course it throws CEL's when the o2 is unhooked though). Im thinking of trying to unhook the wires on the computer and hook them back in incase they could be lose somehow and changing my o2 sensor. Thoughts?
Does it do this all the time? Or only during the first couple of minutes of warm up? If it doesnot do it with the O2 sensor pluged in it has to be related to it. Might not be getting warm enough.

yeah it does it all the time, like if im driving the car and then park it and then start it up like 5 minutes later it wont do it but then at like the next stop when i try to proceed it will start doing it then.
the only time my car ran like that was when my primary (upper) o2 wire came lose. I knew it was looking bad and was onmy way to get a new one when it broke. Car ran like @!#$..then installed new one...and voila new again.

ok well today i checked the volts on the O2 and its reading 90 when it should be between 40-60 i beleive the chilton manual says. I unhooked the battery and ecu wires for 10 mins and plugged it back in and it doesnt do it with the o2 hooked up but now its idling really low (500) was 1200 and its plusing while slowing down and letting off the gas. any tips?
I had a similar problem with my car. I then traced the problem down to find that it was running very very lean. Looking into the problem i found that the diagnostic program actually showed weird volt readings from the o2. We thought it was bad and replaced with no effect. We havent fixed it yet, but we narrowed it down to the fuel pump. Take it somewhere and have the fuel pressure checked, and if its below spec, then replace... Not a cheap fix.
