I found this throttle body on e-bay, and i'm not sure weather they would be any good, or if it would just be money down the toilet. I don't know if anyone on here could be of any help, but any feedback is appreciated. Here is the link.

You have a '96 2.2L OHV, you TB is cast into the upper intake plenum and is not removable. If you want a lager dia TB you need to have your TB bored and get a throttle plate made. The stock TB dia is 52mm, anything over 56mm is not going to do you much good.

Before you do you TB, I would reccommend you get a full exhaust system, i.e., header, high flow cat, a resonator/glasspack and muffler, all in 2 1/4" from the header back. See one of the many exhaust threads for more info.

Next, I would do some head work, surface the head, a port and polish with the +1mmm valves and do a 1.6 roller rocker conversion. Then look into ASP's pulley, if you don't have a big sound system. Then you might consider a bored TB, I would recommend in the area of about 54-55mm. Top it off with a Torque converter inthe area of 2560-2760rpm stall, see my thread in the transmission forum on Stock TCs and gears.

None of these mods will make any big gains alone, but together will make your car a bit quicker. Remember you are starting with the slowest version of the J-Bodies(2.2L w/ an auto), so it won't be really fast, unless you want to do some serious work. See the other posts about the 2.2L/2200s by myself, OHV notec and Slowolej for more indepth information on what it takes.

Are you sure about that. I've seen several 2.2 OHV throttle bodies for sale on a few different sites.

The '97 & older are intragally cast, the '98+ is separate, I'm POSITIVE!

On the 93-97 2.2OHV motor, the TB is also an upper intake manifold. The 98+ 2200 motor has an IM and a TB. Same with the 2.2 ECOTEC.
