The 2.4 doesn't have rocker arms, it has lifters. The 2.2 has rocker arms because the 2.2 has pushrods. Do some more research and put your flame suit on.

Like said above, but why flame him, everyone on this site is more worried about flaming people then helping them. 2.4 is Dual Over Head Cam( cam sits ontop of the valves, so the lobes of the cam push down lifters which push down the valves. Should have asked this in the Noobie's forum, but...good luck, do some more research. Dont learn about your car through aftermarket parts, learn aftermaket parts though the working of your car. You will spend your money more wisely, that is my advise for you.

ok that was a stupid question because i knew that. Is there any place that makes lifters other than JBP cause theres seem kind of expensive.

what i would do is go to a junkyard, find a 2.4, take out the lifters in that. then send those lifters into JBP. then when your new lifters come back from JBP, just swap them out

I would do that but i already have my engine out of my car to build. so i will just buy all the parts and put it togeather , plus what is the diffrence between sending them in and buying the ones they are selling.

Useless to change the lifters for "better" unless you get bigger cams and plan to go over the stock rev limiter.

Valves springs would be the first thing to change before lifters. It's still useless if you don't raise the rev limiter.

dude let me be brutally honest.

it sounds like you don't know what the hell you're replacing or what you're getting into.

You shouldn't be worried so much about engine strength right now. you should be worried about figuring out how a fuel system works in order to run boost properly in the first place. Things like fuel mods and the like.

of course, strengthening an engine is important, but this is throwing up all sorts of red flags to me. it sounds like you really need to sit down and do some research learn, understand what affects what as far as turbo goes, as far as strengthening the engine goes and what not.

Sorry if this comes off as being somewhat of a jerk, but I would hate to see a post a few months down the line saying something like "I'm not feeling anything from my mods" or "My engine is having problems" from you.

sit down. read up. enjoy.

Isnt the eManage a piggyback system? In which case you wouldnt be rasing any rev limits.

Not to sound like a dick or anything, but I think that it's probably the best idea for you to do more research and get more education on what you're doing before you attempt to do so. Otherwise, you'll be yet another person making a rant post cuz they blew their car up.
