im new to modding and i was wondering,
would it be really costly to get my 04 cav running 14s?
oh yeah and what if i just want quick acceleration from 0-60.?
Umm did u mean 1/4 miles??? cuz 14 sec 0-60 is really BAD! JUST 5 mins ago i checkd my car and i did 0-60 in 10.92 secs. Umm yea so i think u are referring to quarter miles.
haha yeah i meant in quarter miles.
some people said i could spend 2k and run 13s.. how is that possible?
By doing something like this....

With that you'll be in the low 14's. That's Karo's list.
All i know is i used to do 0-60 in 14 secs and now i did it in 10.92 wit my intake ??? and im gettn new exhaust and headers..... also i did 1/4 in 19sec wit intake....i got a long way to go, but i also plan on just turboing the car (Y dont u do that??? itll only cost u $2400.)
Lastly wat type engine do u have?
^Eco, only engine offered in 04.
Soooo....all that stuff listed above is for a 2.4 Not your Eco. Best way to run 14's...get the Hahn Turbo kit. It is totally complete I believe cost about $2700 amd will definately get you to run 14's. (assuming you can drive).

Ryne(Hypsy) has run a best of 12.56 with just the Hahn Stage II Turbo Kit, BF Goodrich Drag T/A's and some weight reduction.
Im getting a Hahn turbo for my car! Im so exctited! Im saving up right now, and just putting on a 2.5'' exhaust....
so what is a good 0-60 time? or even 0-100? I used hptuners data logging and the timer at the bottom and did
0-60mph --- 6.3 seconds
0-100mph - 15.0 seconds
not sure if those are good times, I know my turbo is too small now, I see it pulling boost in 3rd,4th,5th, in the upper rpms, (almost 20kpa) so, I will be upgrading to a t3/t4b or t3/t4e, but that's a different thread.
HP Tuners | Garrett T3/T04B | 2.5" Charge Pipes | 2.5" Downpipe | 650 Injectors | HO Manifold | Addco front/rear | Motor Mounts | HKS SSQV | Spec stage 3 | AEM UEGO Wideband | Team Green LSD | FMIC | 2.3 cams | 2.3 oil pump swap | 280WHP | Now ECOTECED
15.0 to 100 mph? That's impressive. A brand-new Jaguar XK takes 15.3 to reach 100 mph, and does 0-60 in 6.0 sec.
What kind of quarter-miles do you run? For estimation, that XK runs the quarter in 14.7 @ 98, so you should be in the mid 14s I would guess...?
I was happy when I heard my car ran 10s. Then I found out that was 0-60.
well I did some research on the cobalt SS supercharged and SRT4, and they both ran 14.4 quaters at 98 and 100 mph respectively. The srt4 did 0-100 in 14.4. so if I could run some better than stock eagle rsa's, maybe I could shave off a 0.5 or something
