Summit Coil Packs

Does anyone have any experience using the Summit brand High Output Ignition Coils. I know I have read bad things about Accel but haven't heard much about Summit. Just wondering about perfomance, installation, reliability, etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

ok, i dont usually do this... but im sorry for the tripple post. This is just one of those times when an edit button would help. Im tired from working 12's all week. =)

I got the msd from turbotechracing.com

I have a summit racing sticker on my wall and got confused. Ive got so many parts i cant keep them straight.

Anyways, to me it seemed like the msd's smoothed out the idle and made respond well... I mean im sure if you got down to it they made power somewhere but its nothing huge.

But as far as the summit brand goes? Ive never used a performance product from them. I do have two of thier guages and a shift light though. And both seem to work flawlessly. Ive had them over a year. They are quick on shipping and very helpfull.

The Summit brand parts are all good. Just cheaper versions of the brand name parts. Some are even made by the same manufactures

I won't say accel is bad but I think msd is much better.

proform isn't bad at all and is a great aftermarket upgrade. and summit ignition parts are basically proform with the brand name taken off.

don't knock on summit to much I have used alot of summits generic parts with much success.
