I read the faqs. i searched through posts... i want a throttle body, and i cant find one that looks good...
i read that the stock throttle body is 58mm at the plate and upgrading to 62mm is a nice preformace difference... some people were getting 15hp increase at 5psi...
i went through all of the companies listed in the faq, and they are all either out of business or dont sell throttle bodies.... except for one, rsmracing.com, they had a link that took me to z-spec.com or something like that and they had one that was like 400 dollars...
is 400 a good price for a throttle body?
the price and this thread (http://www.j-body.org/forums/read.php?f=64&i=1&t=1) makes me hesitant to purchase this throttle body... are those the same companys?
i found one on ebay but the measurements didnt make sense...

ps. i have a 05 sunfire (ecotec) i'd like one that would be a stock replacement so that i could just unbolt the old one, and put on the new one

Well as far as what people are using and what is done to the cars, I made a post a while back that stated who was using what brand TB and how they felt about the product with the mods they have. I like my 62mm but I bought it for use with boost later on.

it would be nice if the new one was blue, since my car is blue, but im looking for performance upgrade, not aesthetic upgrade...
i was hoping for a link to tb that fits a ecotec intake manifold and has good reviews...

Just get your stock throttle body bored out and polish the thing like mentioned as before. Almost anyone can bore out a TB with a simple die grinder and a carbide
look for Reveco throttle bodies on ebay. Reveco is the seller...i have thier Eco TB and its a nice piece.
