GM Supercharger

I am new to JBO, I would like to say hi to all you great people out there. Alot of good information and tips on the forums from you guys have really helped me out alot. Anyway to get on subject here, I have a 2004 Cavalier and I was thinking about going the turbo route with it, but then I saw that there is a GM Supercharger for my car that aparently claims to boost me from 145hp to 200hp, im assuming at the crank. It seems to me that the supercharger would offer a big bang for the buck and alot less hassle than a turbo setup on the ecotec motor. Does anybody know what I would need to make this supercharger kit work with my car? http://www.paceparts.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=167186 . I am assuming that the kit should bolt right up to my stock setup and run just fine. But is there anything else I would need to consider buying to make it run better? only mod on my car now is an Weapon R cold air intake.

Its basicly a bolt on but its harder then you may think it is. Plan on a whole day maybe day and a half then it needs to go to the dealer to get the computer re-flashed to run the blower.

BTW this is probly gonna get moved to the boost forum, just so you know.

Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.

It's intercooled ready, but not intercooled.
You'll need to attach some more stuff to the intake manifold.

Here is a post that might help.

It is possible to run the GM Supercharger without intercooling though right? Just not as large of performance gains?

Yes, but you should definately keep the pulley that comes with the charger kit.

97cavie does have a point though, if you go into the boost forum and search for Gm ecotec supercharger, m62, supercharger, or some variation of those. I found 247 results using 'gm ecotec supercharger'. Good luck.
