so i was wondering whree can i by a crank shaft for a 2000 z24 with an LD9


AND are there high performance crankshafts

there are no performance cranks for the 2.4L. there are for the 2.3L which is very much like the 2.4L, but older and more powerful.

what happened to yours?

there are no performance cranks period, except maybe the eco.

You do have options though like knife edging, or re balancing,

JBP or any local engine shop will probably lighten your crank or you can get a "forged" crank if thats what you mean off of JBP

you are incorrect. GM (Kellog actually) made very few forged cranks back in the day for the Olds quad 4 race cars. I may still have one..

there are forged cranks for the quad4 and the ecotec engines. the stock LD9 crank is very strong, so it isn't a worry till very high HP. the LN2 I know very little about, so I won't comment on it.

Also, Kellog made a forged lightweight crank for the 2.3. No timming gear or conterweight. There was one on Ebay about a month ago that went for 50$.
