Hey guys I just ordered 2 mufflers for my 97 Z, they are 2.5 inch inlet with 4 inch outlets. As of now i have one muffler with 2.5 inch from the cat and its loud and raspy and cackles a lot, and i dont really like it. So with my dual exhaust i dont know what size pipe i should go with, and where i should start it from, i was thinking 2 inch from the cat, to give me some down pressure.

What would be best for me? i dont want the cackle ne more when i downshift and all that, just something mello and smooth, thanks

Keep the 2.25" pipe, and just add a resonator at lease 18" long. Then you should be good to go.
