does anyone here have the vibrant performance cat back exhaust on their
eco cav or sunfire
and how do you like it
would you reccomend anything else
thanks
I CAN GET A VERY GOOD DEAL ON IT
THATS WHY IM ASKING
DO YOU KNOW OF A BETTER SOUNDING , PERFORMING EXHAUST ?
I installed the Vibrant system on my car, mainly because of the cost versus performance/quality that it appeared to provide when compared to other more expensive cat backs, such as Borla. I am very pleased with the performance and the sound. It is a tad loud for some, but being an old muscle car guy, I am used to it and like it that way. It has no resonator. It seems to be a very good quality stainless system. My only gripe is that the cat flange fitting on mine was the wrong type (tube-type connection versus welded flange), but this is something that any competent pipe shop should be able to fix. I also had to trash the supplied muffler clamp and make my own, but here again, a pipe shop can easily overcome any fitment issues. I like mine a lot, but I don't recommend it as a do-it-yourselfer, due to the user-unfriendly install that I experienced. Like you, I got what I thought was a decent price (about 300) for an all stainless system. I still think its a good system for the money I paid, but if I had it to do over, I would take it to my local custom pipe guy for the installation.
I would just have a shop custom-bend you compression pipes. You'll save money, plus you can customize it the way you want. The rksport catback is popular around here. I myself have it and like it. It does need a resonator though.
I had it on my cav, both turboed and N/A...... It sounded very nice (a bit loud N/A w/o a Cat)...... but it wasnt raspy like most exhausts.
