Cast numbers for HO Manifold
Tuesday, July 11, 2006 11:03 AM
Ok I spent over an hour going through all 15 pages for all 2.3 HO manifold forums. And I never found anything on cast numbers for the manifold or what diff cars it came in. I went to my local junkyard and they have over 20 cars with the 2.3 HO engines. They wont let me go out and look at them only one of their guys can do it so they can charge extra money for the parts. But they wont do it without the year of the car, the car, or the cast number of the part. I found the cast numbers on ny-jbodies library for the HO Mani swap, and I gave them the numbers but they need a specific car and year. They are f'ing d*#k heads about it. I mean come on it is a junk yard!! Anyways if any of you can help with the cars, years, and casting numbers, i'll be able to get HO parts for anybody that needs them. I think there might be enough cars to get the secret cams out of. I seen the list of the 2.3 cars they had and it is pretty long. Thanks for the help.

The only car that had onlt the Ho was the Beretta Gtz. 90-94.

The last 3 numbers are 681 IIRC. I gotta check on mine.

Thanks for the info, I went back to the junk yard, and the guy was being a dick again to me. He was telling me over and over that all the info I was giving him was wrong. He wasn't even looking it all up on his computer. Just saying I was wrong, I was getting pissed so I told him to just tell me where he kept the parts and I'll look for it myself. He finally sent me with one of his guys to go look. But when I looked under all the hoods of the cars every single car was an LO. I got pissed and just left, I wanted to tell the owner how much of a retard he was. But figured I should just leave and start my search for a Mani else where. I have the HO TB coming in from Luke Heier for $84.00 after s&h. He said he got it off the Beretta so I'm happy to of found that. Comes with all the sensor the tps and the cruise bracket. He even has it all polished and modified to be installed on a 2.4. He sent me pics of it looks real good. If anybody has a HO Mani for sale modded or not get ahold of me either pm or email. Thanks for all of your help.

i have an extra manifold, it is on my car now, i'm waiting to swap the new one in, so you could always get that from me, but just because the car was an lo doesn't mean that it didn't have the HO manifold on it. did you look closely at all of the manifolds, because i have seen some HO manifolds on the non HO cars.

Yeah i took the time to look at the manifolds on them. They were all the LO style alot smaller than the HO. But there are a few ppl here on JBO that are selling their manifolds I just have to try and get ahold of them. Most never answer my emails but oh well their loss.

just make sure you don't over spend on it, i think the manifold cost me like $15 at the junk yard, i just had to pull it off myself.

I still have not gotten a manifold yet. If anybody has one laying around mooded for the 2.4 or not I'll buy it from them for a decent price. I have my TB on the way and well I'm not going to do the swap until I have everything I need. I'm going to buy the adapter flange and everything. Anybody know where I can get the TB gasket? Autozone cant get it, but they can get the Manifold gasket kit. Just wondering where everybody got their gaskets and extra needed parts.
