swap 2.4 twincam for 2.4 dohc

I sat here and thought a while about it and tried to do a search. But in the end I really did not know what to put down for a search, or even what was the right place to put this post. So I'll put it here and if it gets moved I'll know later where to put something like this. I was wondering is it possible to swap the 2.4 twin cam cover for the 12v quad 4 dohc cover on the 2.4's? I like how the Quad 4 cover looks over the 2.4 twin cam look. I was thinking the only thing I might have to change is the white plastic peice that the spark plug boots fit into. Or would I not have to do that? I have a 97 Z24. Thanks for the answers!

OOPS! Sorry my bad not the 12v QUAD 4 DOHC but the 16v QUAD 4 DOHC. Thought I better change that before I was beatten with a flip flop for getting that wrong.

Yes you can, just swap over the coil houseing the the ignition module. Use your parts, just the Quad IDI cover.

Well, no matter what just to be on the safe side I'm going to swap everything from my current cover over to the quad cover.

Shouldn't be a problem. Just use your stock bolts. Your washers won't fit, but you don't need them anyways. You might get a grounding issue like I did... So if you have problems after you swap make sure that's the first thing you check.
