engine and/or drivetrain... i ve got a 2200 and 4spd auto and that @!#$s gotta go... im lookin 4 a 2.4l twin cam and a 5spd manual...

Im in central FL... i dunno about many junk yards near me much less one with a Z24 front clip... so info on were sum of them r located would help too for future reference... but which (eco or z24) has the better performance? or which has more tunability?

2.4 has more stock hp. eco has the better tunability, and more of an aftermarket support.

what about "bang-for-my-buck"? which engine is the cheapest to tune and modify?? and the easyest to find in my case...

not saying that the 2.4 has no aftermarket, but i would say iits signifigantly less, especially when it comes to boost... if you want to plan to go for boost, than go the route of the eco, if not then there really isnt like a HUGE HUGE difference. its your call tho

cost wise the 2.4 is gonna be high , and since its a dead motor , there isnt alot of support

the eco is a current offered motor , and is gonna be around a long time , and has the support

not to mention the eco weighs less , and you dont have to worry about rod bearings , like you would in a 2.4

You live in central florida, you guys have some of the best junk yards with extremely low prices. I am in NY and the cost is huge here (this state sucks) and I went to a FL junk yard and was in awe. I was there a year and a half ago and they had 2 ecos with under 12K for 300$ apiece, thats dirt, go with the eco swap.
