Well we are doing WHITECAVY's engine swap. Everything has gone great, but I'm thinkin' the pass. side axle is to long. We are going to the yard tomorrow to check, but can anyone tell me that I'm right or wrong about the axle size being different on the pass. side.
Trey
the 3spd auto is a smaller trans than the 4spd
the 4spd uses near equal length half shafts
You are the man! You alway saved us. I'm sure he not going to like the news, but now I can tell him for sure he needs new axles. I wish I could find the axles from the Teal Z, I guess I gave those away with the car.
So I got the new 4speed axle and the part that goes into the tranny have no teeth on it, its smooth.. its a female end.. Meaning it looks like there is a male adapter that goes into this female part of the axel.. Then all that goes into the tranny.. Could this be right? Ive triple checked my axle and yes its for a 4 speed auto tranny.. Im heading to gm after work to see if they could help me out.

Wouldnt ya know it, I still cant find a passenger side 2.4 auto axle with two male ends... All the axles the autoparts stores are showing me have 1 male end and one female end.. WTF? Does anybody know a part number, or know where I could get one? On my passenger side of the auto tranny, there needs to be a male shaft that goes in there.. Why is this so damn hard to find? lol
