Installing Electric Oil Temp Gauge on ECO

I was thinking of installing it in the cam tower beside where the oil pressure gauge is on the right.

Will this work, or should I find a new place to mount it?
I really dont want to use the drain plug if I dont have too.

drill and tap the oil pan , that is where they are susposed to be for the best temp measurement

Had a feeling you were going to say that, just hoping I could get away with somewhere else that did not involve drilling the oil pan.

i dont really think you would get a accurate reading , since the oil will be moving slow at low pressure and faster at high pressure

ive always been told to put them there , and ive never had reason to doubt the people that told me since ive heard the same from alot of places and people

for the price of the fitting , it might be worth a shot , just to see how stable the temp is

My thought exactly.

Just went and bought the adapter. Hopfully, I will get to install it this weekend, but working 15 hours days over the weekend don't help much.

Might have to wait till Monday.
