went to a muffler shop thats well known in the neighborhood..pretty good rep...

and asked about installing a high flow cat by magna(#94035)

he said, most after market high flows for my car, will run into problems come smog test time & that it wouldnt be worth it (since reputable highflows only went up to 96 and that was for a grandam)..& to just wait until they actually come out with a reputable model.

so people that do have a highflow cat installed.....come test time, have you ran into any problems due to your highflow??

That guy knows nothing. How is this, get your high flow cat put on, if you do not pass smog, get in touch with me. A friend of mine that lives across the street from me, his uncle owns and operates a smog test shop. I live in Imperial Beach area.

But yeah. I've talked to a lot of people who smog with high flow cats. They never have any problems. They usually get dinged on the non carb legal parts, but some places will overlook that.

Not to much here, just got back from Pep Boys and enjoying my time off from work. I am in between duty stations, yes I am in the Navy. Going to the Boxer at the end of the month, then Going on a deployment next month.
