I have a 96 Bass model 2.2L cav and wanted to put in an 03+ ecotect but all ive gotten on that is negative.... so I guess now i wanna put a Z24 engine in.... what all will I need to make this swap?? Engine, harness, ecu..etc.???? Also, what years will fit mine? Thanks
Don't let anyone fool you. The Ecotec is a great engine and a few people here have swapped it in their 96+ cars. Search Ecotec swap, and I'm sure others who have swapped will chime in here and tell you what you need.

The ecotec is a great motor, so is the z24 but the 2.4 is kind of outdated and proved to go only so far.. the ecotec i beleive has more potential as it is made to be modified
^^ I agree.. I only swapped to my 2.4 because I have a 97 car.. I didnt feel like pulling everything goes along with the eco swap if you have a 1999 and below car
