a lot of speed shops or machine shops can bore them out for you and make you a new plate. you could always go that route, but i don't know if your custom comment would rule that out,

ok..

i have the reveco one......

reason i dont want to go to a shop to have it just bored out is price... boring the tb is the cheap part.. you guys have any idea how much it is to have a custom butterfly cut/ made to work with a custom bored cavalier throttle body?

nothign wrong with the reveco. ruban is a good guy to do business with. i was looking for a 70-75mm or so.

Mantapart is a joke. Worst service experience I've ever had.

I just got my revco one but I have not installed it yet. I have heard that it will be worse for n/a motor, but I have heard that it does really good after 4k.

There's a guy who lives by me who used to own a Cavalier similar to mine, but all modded out. He bored his own tb and had a plate burned out of aluminum on a laser. I think he said he's selling them now or something. I could check, that way all you would have to do is go to a shop and have it bored and buy a plate to fit. If you want, I can try to get ahold of him.

our throwttle bodies can only be bored to 62mm in the middle... and bottom, as hypsy said.

if you go bigger you start cutting into the passage way for the sensors...

Actually me and Roy found a way to get the plate to 64mm and the backside to 65mm. I'm not gonna say how though because that's one of the things that will make the ones I'm trying to get made, and then sell, special.

grats.... I'd rather keep my 62mm and pay for something like a 70mm then pay another 250 (or whatever you'd charge) bucks for 2mm... but thats me

Well I'm trying to get a guy to make some sleeves so we can use the stock setup and make 70mm plates. It's a lot harder than we expected though.

You can keep your 62mm.....if 3mm gets me an extra 5HP I'll go with it....especially since I won't be paying much.

you wont be paying much because you are making them or because you are not gunna charge a lot for it?

theres actually a turbo sunfire who has a 70mm t/b, its the green GT that somebody posted up with the gold rims that runs 10's i think it was. id like to know how he got that setup because looks like 65 is about the max you could bore it out, if the t/b me and my dad are making up doesnt show any gain or anything oh well, didnt cost me a dime.
