NEed new ignition.

After replacing 2 icm modules on my 98 cavalier z. I am searching for ignition upgrade maybe msd. Is there ay applicatioon that i can use to replace fatory icm? Or any other idea without using too much cash. was figuring about 200 hundred to 250. Need advice asap. Plz include any avalible part #'s. thankz

i hope someone else answers this with a better idea, but as far as i know, the option you have is the msd-dis 2...

msd is gonna be out of the 200-250 range unless its used.

also to replace the icm, gonna be well over 350-400$ to get the parts to replace it.




might wanna first find whats causing you to fry icms as they usually last well over 100,000 miles. most doing upwards of 150k-200k if not more.

found cause ofg burnt icm ..seemed to be clogged cat. Now all ready for ignition upgrade. Need good idea on what is out and works. Thought the msd-dis would replace the icm.... ??? Well i remember summit had a sport compact iginition set up waiting on there catalog believe is was silver or something. Think there was also another can any one give me the details on hooking one thses up with a list of everything needed. possibly idea on wiring it all up as well. Come on fella's been over month since i been anle to drive the cav......plz help..

How does a clogged cat burn up your icm?

BTW, the answers to all your questions, on hooking up the MSD, parts lists, etc, can be found by searching.
