Ive read that the B&M shifter plus is supposed to make the -Auto- Z24's shift faster and respond better but has there been any problems with this? I figured that it would cause tranny problems in the long run so I ignore it like most "instant 20+hp pulg-in" crap but... Does anyone in JBO have this mod equipped and for how long? Much improvment in shifting or is it worth it? Problems? Pain to install?
Thnxz again fellow JBO'eons
They just HATE it when you ...POINT - LAUGH - then DRIVE OFF AND AWAY-!...
Easy to install (2 wires), Alot of people have it.
As long as you don't drive with it ON all the time it will be fine.
I have had it for a year with no problem. I only use it when I need it. Some people used it all the time and end up with broken tranny.

I have had it for....since little bill made his write up. I would not recommend driving around with it on all the time. I just use mine when I am at the track or screwing around. For everyday driving I think it might be to harsh of a shift.

Ok my tranny shop told me this and he is a good friend of the family to so I trust him with his info. He said there is no damage done to the actual tranny when boosting the line pressure. The tranny without it will burn up faster cause it has to slow down to sync for the shift. So with the uped line pressure it jsut goes instead of slowing down. When it slows down it burns up the tranny can't remember what part he was saying now. But all in all the only thing it will stress being on all the time is the drive train ie the drive shaft, cv joints those things. I only use mine when I need it cuase the stock mounts make the tranny shake when on setting 2 so it just feels to rough and sounds like @!#$. But when it is on the shifts are nice and firm and throttle responce is nice when you hit the gas it jsut goes it doenst hesitate then jump into the lower gear.

Thanxz alot guys for the help.
hey one more quesion... do you have to make a toggle switch inside the car to turn it on and off or do you have to pop the hood open, turn it on or off, then go on about your business?
thanxz again

It is a switch. It's a module that you put somewhere inside the car (anywhere you want) and put it on setting 1 or 2 or Off.

It is similar to a harsher clutch in a 5-speed. It shifts faster, but it is a little uncomfortable at first... You get used to it over time. I leave it on setting "1" 24/7... setting "2" is kind of scary though, in my opinion.
Thanxz once again guys. Looks like its in my near future.
