first i have a wierd problem and it just started, when i start the car and drive away even if its still warm it will stumble pretty bad that its just hanging on but it goes done to 400rpms but stays running. i dont have my egr hooked up cause i got the ho mani , and i have old bosh platinums 4 in there that are about 1.5 years old, and the secret cam swap. it has done this like 4 times only when it just started. i drove down the street and stop it would cut out, or stumble.
any help would be great.
second i would like to put my bigger injectors in and a fmu and a AFP in too before i install my turbo and maybe tune some more fuel in? plus it would help my turbo install a bit to speed up the down time. i have a wide band would be cool to install it and tune N/A?

I have the same problem with my 97 2.4. I thought it was a messed up cat, so I put on the pacesetter header and a new exhaust. Didn't help. I've also run a few different brands of spark plugs, I've got AC Delco premium platnums in there now, no difference.

I've replaced a ton of parts over the last year trying to fix this, nothing has worked. I'm out almost $2500, here's what I've replaced so far:
A few tanks of gas with Seafoam
EGR
IAT
TPS
Intake manifold gasket / TB o-ring
Throttle body disassembled and cleaned
Coolant temp sensor
Knock sensor
MAP sensor
A few o2 sensors
4 different types//temps/brands of spark plugs
Ignition module
Both coil packs
Coil housing cover
new spark plug boots
Fuel pressure regulator
Had a compression test, all 4 cyl good
Fuel pressure good
Had it hooked up to a "pro" system - no issues found
Just changed to a Pacesetter header, 2.5 cat and 28 inch long glass pack. Sounds great, but still wants to sputter and die at idle. No CEL, no code other than "misc misfire", and that was only once when I first got the car.

I always use premium gas, anything less and it's a challenge to keep it running at a red light.

If you find a cure for your car, please post it. Nothing has worked for mine.

i was thinking misfire or coil problems or something. my cel light has been on for a long time and this just started two weeks ago. the light was first triggered from the o2 sensor and i never had it checked and they i did the egr stuff and thats probly causeing more crap.
im not going to start putting money into it like yourself. thanks
