Ecotec swap

ok.. i have a 2000 Cavalier.. (non ecotec).. i'm going to the local U pullit and dropping an ecotec motor from a 2005 cavalier with bad rear dmg.. is ther any thing huge that i need to know in differences in the motor?

no but you need the tranny as well and ecu

The engine bay wiring is different, the radiator is different, the a/c hoses in the engine bay are different as well.

you'll also need the A/C compressor, exhaust manifold (or purchase an eco header), fuel lines, and top engine mount from the eco.
get the ecu and the whole harness that comes with it.

Just take the whole car... That way you will have all the parts you need and if you like the '05 front end you can swap that too

Yes.. i plan on buying the whole front end.. ( panels and motor((doing the 05front end and the 00back))) but didnt really thing about taking the whole car..
