my 2.4 has coldair and catback right now...and it smells like its running rich...standing behind it u can smell the gas in the exhaust like strong ......what could cause a stock engine to run rich like that?......

LOL, did you plug your sensor back up to the intake? Maybe your 02 sensor in the exhaust is burned out, that would make it guess wildly on how much fuel to dump....only things i can think of....

ok both 02's were replaced like 4 weeks ago.....and an 02 would throw a code....now would a bad sensor in the intake throw a code or no?

what sensors did you use? if it was Bosch, that could be the problem. people usually have bad experiences with Bosch stuff on our cars. the sensor doesnt necessarily have to throw a code for something to be wrong

not sure if they were bosch....but i had both of them replaced just recently cause they both were throwing codes...now i have no codes just smells a little rich.....im gonna get a A/F gauge hooked up and see if its about even or if its way off....if it is my buddy said he will reflash it for me
