K&N Filter question
Wednesday, September 27, 2006 3:16 PM
Just curious how a person would go about cleaning a filter without having to buy the pack of products. The filter for my intake is getting pretty dirty and I wouldn't mind just cleaning it as opposed to buying a new filter, unless the cost is going to be pretty similar. Thank you.

i belive you can get the k&n cleaning kit for like 12 bucks at autozone, just spray the filter with the cleaner *erm soak it* let it sit for like 30 minutes, and then wash it with water, let it AIR dry, then oil it witht he spray thingie, but less is more in this situation, as you dont want to burn out your IAT sensor. The filter will change color witht he oil till it is that classic K&N color.

I saw a kit for about 18 dollars, would that just be the easiest way to go than instead of ordering a new filter?
