Is your cruise control module still connected? Most people remove it. if not it has to be spun around to give you more slack. If you remove it, you're only dealing with the throttle cable and it should be pretty clear if it is hooked up correctly or not. Not sure if this helps, but it's the firs tthing that popped into my head. Sorry, just trying to help since you sound kinda desperate.
thank you i figuered out how the bracket goes on but its too damn late here to use the dremel........i need to open up 1 of the holes on the bracket more to fit the bigger bolt and im golden

ok another.....
Im using the stock TB off my 98........does the FPR have to go on the manifold or on the TB?

FPR attaches to the manifold. where it used to go on the TB you can just plug up somehow. Check Quad4forums.com site for the guide on how to do this. There is actually a photo(s) showing where all the wires go.
ok i even tried fpr on the TB and still it revs and revs
im out of ideas

Sorry to hear you had so much trouble. Did you review the guide from Quad4forums.com ? It's hard to explain what to do via text messages, that's why I recommended the guide as it has photos. You need to take your time. I did my research over the winter last year, bought the parts in the spring and did the install over a week. Even then, I still had to research some answers when I ran into issues. Hopefully like you said you can get some hands on help from someone who has done it first hand.
Good luck.
sounds like a vacuum leak.. i had the same thing happen to me on an engine i bought and it turned out to be a bad intake gasket
thanks for all ur help...i put the old one back on now it idles at 2 grand and stays there......i have the 5 bolts on all the way...r the studs needed?

Here's a part of the guide:
"Starting your car
-Double check all the vacuum connections and make sure all tools and extra parts are removed from the engine bay.
-Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
-Turn the car on, it will idle at 2500rpm-3000rpm till the IAC resets.
-If the problem doesn’t go away in 5-10 minutes turn the car off and check for vacuum leaks, make sure the vacuum lines are connected tight, and check the gasket areas for leaks."
Sounds like it was a vacuum leak indeed. As for the studs, I would use them as the original mani is plastic and will need the extra pressure to seat properly I would think.
alright ill do that tommorow...thanks for your help again man....i was using that guide but theres no way to print it so i had to go in and out in and out......lol.......but yea ill check all the bolts and watnot and see what she does tommorow
