Which ecotec crank pulley could anyone recomend? What would the difference b if I got the lightened stock size one compared 2 the smaller underdrive one by RK? Besides the obvious belt size difference

I agree, the part is really nice, the question is will you actually get it if you buy it

I hope very soon. I'll have one fully designed.

That blue one looks awsome I want 2 know what lightening the stock crank pulley do to gain horsepower? The RK one claims how it slows down the external accesories to free up engine horsepower. Does lightening the stock pulley give the engine a noticeable quicker rev 2?

It does rev quicker, by how much I'm not sure.

I know this is an overstated question;

Would a lightened crank pulley make a noticable difference with an additional rotating mass, say a supercharger?

Well the few people that have the 2.4 and superchargers seemed to be very happy.

are there still any out there? i see z-spec is still available but i'm not liking the census on it. rksport has there's on their website still. i'm needing a replacement for my rksport underdrive pulley due to related question above.

one thing that needs to be cleared up here... these pulleys are not 'lightend' stock pulleys, they are ALUMINUM completly different pulleys. what needs to be pointed out is the fact that they are 'lightweight' pulleys. weather they are stock sized or underdrive versions are the main differences-although im not sure if anybody has acctually made an OVERDRIVEN crank pulley for the eco yet, there are literally a handfull floating around for the LD9 though. i believe the rk sport ecotec one is an underdrive.

now, i personally have installed 2 RSM/Z-Spec 2.4 crank pulleys, one an underdrive (on my car) and the other a stock sized (on a friends grand am). mine has seen about 5000 miles and my friend's about 30,000. the quality was outstanding and i would recomend them to anybody. but, i got mine from a seller on ebay that had a bunch of them so i had ZERO issues with acctually getting the parts.

custom car grills has a pretty nice pulley that is what i have and its been great so far, It is just slightly underdriven on the cavy/sunfire ecotec as they were made for saturns i believe, just need to get a slightly smaller belt is all. Definately felt a difference in performance weighs in a 13.9 oz. exactly.
