save up and get the ceramic coated header. it's much better than the painted header.

The black paint will burn off in 5-10 minutes... its worth the extra $$$ to prevent rust

so it will fit then? hope so cuz it sounds nice and + i was looking on the GP for the Pace Setter and i found this...

Cat-Back Exhaust - 1995-05 $169.99

so apperently the 95-05 all fit the same and take same route under the car.

That they do. The main differences are the Fire GT's and the 03+ Fires with the appearance package dual exhausts, but the primary (driver's side) follows the same routing as the single pipe outlets

before you go buying @!#$ with the impression it will fit do a search, I dond't remeber what the thread was called but not all 3rd gens have the same catabck. Piping is the same but the exhaust hanger layout they changed up at some point. There was a thread in performance about it back in the day. I don't remeber which years have what hanger setup

No they are not all the same... When you order there is a "drop down" box that request what engine and year you have, we ship you the correct exhaust system for your car, as they are all not the same.

I believe the 95-99 hangers are different than the 00+ hangers. I'm just not sure about 03+

Here is the link for probably the best deal you will get on it...
http://www.turbotechracing.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=606&idproduct=879

i go through him now and always find the best prices, save up for the armor coat. looks better, and protects your investment, do it right and do it right the first time.

Kirk, if you must go with the black painted PS header, you need to do a few things first.

You need to get a chemical paint stripper and strip all the paint, just follow the directions. then do a light scuffing of the bare steel, with a 400-600grit sand paper or a Scotchbrite pad. Get some Prep-Sol or other metal paint prep and follow their direction to clean all the finger oils and other residue off the steel. Finally, paint it with VHT's High Heat Coating (in the color of your choice). Follow their directions to the "T", including curing the coating in an oven, as per the directions.

I tried the Dupli-Color High Temp Paint and it just started flaking off the first time I started the engine. The VHT has been on my header for almost two years now and hasn't flaked off, though I have chipped it in a couple places. To repair any chips, just hit the spot with a shot of the coating spray and let the engine heat cure it.

The VHT is decent to use down here in Florida, but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone living anywhere they salt the roads, unless you don't drive during the winter. Also, always wash the header (as well as the whole car) off after any trips to the beaches (such as those photo trips and beach meets ), the salt promotes rust.

Just PM, IM or e-mail me, if you have any questions.
