Is there a 95-97 Throttle Body swap??

Does anyone know if there is a direct throttle body swap for the 95-97 2.2 motor?? I searched and everyone that asked that question never got answered. if not. is there a GOOD place to get one bored and a new throttle plate made??? thanks for any help!!

No, the TB isn't replaceable. It is cast as one piece with the upper plenum. The stock TB is 52mm. If you are staying N/A, don't go any bigger than 56mm. You will lose some low end torque, unless the rest of the motor and accessories are matched to the power band of the TB. This will most likely make an unmodified car slower.

Most of the aftermarket plenums, that have a removable TB, aren't worth the money you pay for them, or the company that makes them will never deliver the part.

You can get the TB Bored over at most any machine shop. They should be able to cut you a new throttle plate also.

anyone have an aproxamate cost for something like this?? im really interested and was thinking like 55 or 56mm of bore. ill prolly stay at 55. thanks MadJack

I did mine to 55mm.

BTW, your car description looks familiar! Except for the color and the power options.

yeah. im thinking i might do that. i just need to figure out who imma have do that. as for the description. you need a Z kit and i need some Z wheels. hehe. and i love my power options. especially with my Express windows
