i was told that with some minour adjustments u can put a subaru impreza sti motor witch is turboed and intercooled could fit into a sunfire i was just checkin if this is tru or not get back ppl thankz
lol yea with a few minor adjustments you can fit a corvette motor in a sunfire too...
whoever told you that is a liar and with the amount of money you would spend getting that swap to work you can buy a hahn kit turbo kit, build your head, bolt ons, and a tune, and have more power than an sti anyway.
Somebody who obviously doesn't know lied to you man.
Will not be worth the time or effort at all. Also all the custom fabrication involved. Tell your friend to swap it in, and when he is finished you will buy it off him.

Yes, including the rear suspension and any awd driveline components. It's really not that hard.

idk, i think this site is getting old. and rediculous. forums are here to help people. yes its a rediculous question. but not 1 person answered w/o sarcasm. this kid heard something from someone, then came her for an answer, and all we did was laugh.
so heres a real answer. is it possible? yes. is it realistic or cost effective? absolutely not.
if you want a real performance car, buy 1. if u want to have fun with a daily drivin econobox, buy some parts. thats about all the advice i can give.
Don't steal, the government doesn't like competition
ok well thankz to the some that wernt laughen to hard cuz like i said it was somthin i heard i didnt think it was worth it or could let alone be done but w/e
next i would like to ask would be any kind of swap thats ezest for a sunfire ? like ok i got a 2.2 now and its healthy but my friend is runnin the 2.4 and its turboed and so on idk what he's runnin but i wanna do somthin diff and try somthin new or at lest not run what he's runnin u know any ideas for me plz
The 2.4 would probably be the easiest swap, followed by ecotec. Anything bigger than that (3800 Series II, 3.4 V6, etc.) and you're talking about a serious investment of both time and money. The 2.4 swap could probably be done in a good day with everything you need and all the tools.
screw all that. I've got a fully built 572 c.i. Caddy motor with a 8-71 blower, two Holley double pumpers, AND twin turbos...
on my chainsaw.
