My car is in jack stands right now and I'm at work. I need to throw my hi-flow cat on a little ahead of schedule cuz I got a big giant hole in the stock one. I'm goign to have to clamp the cat on with adaptor pipe becuase in the spring it has to come back off to install the turbo. So i need to know what the OD for the stock downpipe and cat are.
mine was like 1.75" or something like that... 02 2200.... sure as hell wasnt 2"...and the pacesetter downpipe sure as hell didnt come close to fitting it!! your probably gonna have to get it welded..your better off just wrapping it in tailpipe repair stuff, clamping it down (to muffle the leak as best as possible temporarily) and taking it to an exhaust shop for a quick, cheap, weld. shouldnt cost more than 50 bucks, even at a ripoff shop.

Eh, I'm going to put together some pipe adaptors to get the sizing right then clamp it on for now. I'll have it welded this weekend. But the cat has t ogo. It's got a hole in it, and what's left of the honeycomb has came loose and is rattling around. I want to get it out before it throws a chunk into the exhaust pipe and chokes the motor.
