stop searching for a w41 and simply get the cams....the HO engines are so much easier to find and all you need to make it w41 is the cams
do you know the part numbers for the w-41 cams...

w41 cams wont easily physically work in a 2.4, and if you get them to work, and increase the rev limiters to make them useful, you'll have a #3 piston and rod hanging out of your motor far too soon.
Stick with the secrets, or talk to LevelZero about their 2.4 cams which I havent seen or heard a bad thing about other than their cam grinders bull@!#$ specs.
naw dude,
you gots to pay attention to the thread at hand....we are discussing the 91 92 2.3L HO. The 10 hp difference between the HO and the w-41is 90% cams, considering that the intake and exhaust manifolds are less restricted. So I am going to swap the W41 cams into my Standard High Output and, voila.... a w41 power output without the cool w-41 idi cover. Now i just need to find the W-41 cams and i will be str8. i am going to drop one in a cavalier body with the Getrag 5 spd and put 10 lbs of boost to it and be done with it. i have already built a fully built drag 2.4 motor that all i have to do is drop in the motor. plannin on putting 25 lbs to the fully built LD9.

yea ...i dont know where the 2.4 comment came from lol ..as far as the cams you can still get them new from GM if ya got the cash..gilles should know where to get some hot grind w41 cams...i suggest upping the rev limiter to use them..which it sounds like you already know how to do
You can get them from GMParts direct.com do a search, not long ago the question was asked and Gilles gave the part numbers, I just got a set of brand new W41 cams from them. But prepare yourself they were $594 shipped to me but I didn't care I wanted new not used or beatup cams. I'm building a 2.3/2.4 hybrid with the 086 head, HO intake and W41 cams for my turbo cavi.
2000 Z24 5spd header & catback for now.
3000.00 and you can have 2 sets of cams
and a 92 scx the is 1 of 300 and some thing made , extra motor pcm and trans to go with it
1 motor has a bad head gasket though
ive been away for a little bit, actually im a bum with no current computer unless one of my homies comes over.

The plan is to swap an OBD-I ecu into a cav body and then the W-41 upgrade chip. Supposedly, the truth about the W-41 ecu is that it is nothing but a HO ecu with a "W-41" chip.

Just out of curiousity, i suppose with the hybrid you're using the 2.4 block , and im wondering if you deleted the most infamous restriction in the 2.4........The Balance Shafts....everybody loves them.

so far in my quest for research ive found in 91 the scx produced 1100 and sumpthin.....92 was reduced to around 500 or so... so your 3 grand deal isnt that bad for all the extras included. my price budget with car, ecu, motor, trans, and cav body is hoped to stay below 3500. So ive found a HO w/ under 100K from pull a part for 113.00 dollars. With new cams im looking around 700. What I really want is that extra W-41 motor with the bad head gasket, as long as it has the w41 idi cover and it is still intact. Please man, give me a good deal on it and ill get rid of some extra "junk" that you got layin around.
