Suggestions for my new engine

I bought a Ecotec so that I dont have to pull my car apart to build my car. I know there are tons of information on this site but I would rather hear it from you all directly. I want to get the engine up as much as possible with out doing much work to the physical block. I have it torn completely apart and plan on getting some eagle rods, wiesco pistons, new rings. Now how about the head those of you who have some experience with it. I am a marine and at the shop on base they offer 3 angle valve jobs. Seeing as how the intake is plastic you really cant polish it. Throttle body suggestions would be nice and do you really think a new intake manifold would be neccasary. As far as building the engine I can do but when I get a turbo on this thing and start dealing with the electronics as far as timing, and the ecu I am a little behind. I am very savy on the wiring in the car and hooking stuff up would not be a problem but I would rather not spend another 2K on a AEM engine managment unit. My goal is to get about 400- 500 HP out of this engine.

Well, starting off if you really get people to answer your questions without flaming you congrats. Because they are going to tell you to use the search button and the sticky at the top of the page for an ecotec build. Another thing I'm a 2.4 guy so I dont know much about the eco, I do know if you want 400-500hp good luck your going to need alot of money and your going to need to do alot of work to get that much out of our cars. The only things I can think of that you have not listed is RSM 69mm TB, Stage 2 JBP Cams, and the Patriot Head. That is all I really know and if you get HPT you should not have to get a stand alone ECM to run everything. Forge everything and do as much as you can to the engine to make is as strong as possible. Upgrade your fuel managment and put on a big turbo/intercooler kit, with lets say a 100 shot of nitrous. If you don't blow your engine you might get to that 400-500 range you want. But like I said and everybody else is going to say use the Search button and it is going to take a lot of time and $$$$.

In the planning stage for an all American TRD Cavalier.

A 3 angle job sounds good, I would look into the ecotec engine build book. it can show you everything you need for up to 1500hp /

For tuning you can use HPTUNERS. Check out the tuning forum for more information.
