setting valve lash - double-nutting?
Friday, November 24, 2006 1:07 PM
I'm tired of my valve lash going wonky all the time. I replaced the studs, replaced the nuts, and I still have to adjsut the valve lash constantly. Every time I turn arround, they're backing out and it sounds like ish. So, I'm considering trying to double-nut them and see if that'll stop theis for good. Anyone think it'd work?

Which rockers are you using? Which nuts?

Stock, and stock. My 1.6s are on the other head until I swap everything over.

If they're stock then yes, double-nut the piss out of them, or get some better nuts, or just pour on the thread-lock.
