Ok, I have been searching around and I found all the info I need. I'm doing the 086 Head swap onto my 2.4 but I can't find any website or info on the TRS header for the 2.3. Is it a myth? Does it really exist? And with the 2.3 HO Manifold how hard is it going to be to find one? Is there anybody out there that has a junkyard with 2.3 HO equipped cars? I have searched every junkyard I can find in about a 60 mile radius, ebay, the classifieds on here. I can't find either the manifold or anything on TRS header. Can anybody point me in the direction for either or both?? I would rather get the TRS header since it has a documented 22fwhp gain over the 2.3 HO manifold. If that is true or not.

there really is a "unmentionable company" header..but your not gonna get one cus they wont make them anymore...not to mention it WILL NOT fit a 3rd gen Jbody car...im currently in words with a local shop and a friend with a 2.3 cav to finish my header project..so it is still moving forward..till then just call a junk yard and have one shipped to you
So after you get this header made are you going to make a GP for it if it works right or better than the 2.3 Exhaust Manifold?

true, the *** header was to be the answer, a few were made, some had welds that cracked. The one that was tested gave 20-25 HP at the wheels, only the header as a mod. I may have to work on this as well. I just have to finish my manifold first and get the motor built. Scott will have his done well before I get started on my first attempts.
hehe ... i like refering to that company as *** i think that works better lol
Well, is there any other option out there for the 086 head on the ld9 for a manifold or header??

BEST option for the moment is to get an early 90s exhaust manifold and port the openings...the collector is pretty easy to do..the runners arnt that hard and if you have the right tools you can get in there a few inches....but other than that...no..no other options sorry

.............other than custom
Ok now the search goes on for a early 90's HO manifold

. Fun....

If it helps i know mantapart sells a 2.3 header flange, so you can build your own header easier.

you can get a ball hone in a prety rough grit to eat some metal out of the manifold, go to
http://www.brushresearch.com/Index.cfm/FuseAction/home.Home.htm and click on flex hone. You can use those in a drill and it should follow the runner path to make things to a certain size. it might take a while but it should do the whole length of the manifold.
try a yard in Rosemount, MN I have pulled like 4 HO intakes out of there, it's called U Pull Our Parts.....they should have one....last time I was there they had 2-3 HO's for sure

I have an LO Manifold and a 2.3 t/b if you're interested. I've been told that there isn't much difference between the HO and LO, but the LO is better for n/a applications. Just send me an e-mail if you're interested. babyblue_05_hottie@hotmail.com
