i know i'm going to get flamed for this, but.

I think i can get a sunfire gt fairly cheap from someone with a blown head. i'm fairly experience with motors, but never done a head swap. what kinda garbage am i looking at?

First off you might wanna have the block checked to be sure its level and hasnt warped or anything. Then if your doing a stock for stock swap, a gasket kit, and some sealant will be a start then take your time and remember and mark everything you take off and put the new head on in reverse. Then torque everything down to spec. So a torque wrench will come in handy too.

he is pretty sure the heads fine but it needs a new gasket, so i figured the head could be blown. i was unaware that the block could warp too. that sucks, but i still might do it. thanks man.
