ok so heres my setup. i have the jbp 2.4 springs, retainers, locks and am wondering if putting the 2.3 lifters and cam towers in with my secret cams will have any benifit. they are a 35mm bore vs the 33mm
Not really, the only need to put 35mm lifters on a LD9 is to run HO/W41 cams which also requires clearancing out the carriers to fit the higher lift lobes. Theres no pont to putting them on a LD9 with only using secret cams.
Are there any piston to valve clearance problems using HO .410 lift cams on a stock bottom end?
Who can modify the intake cam for the cam position sensor and the ps hex?

yes Gilles has addressed this in the previous post, but i believe he is talking about these cams in conjunction with the 2.4 head.

Yeah you are probably right then. The 2.4 has a larger combustion chamber, so the valves are most likely seated higher allowing for a higher lift on flat pistons...However, Dale seems to have his heart set on using the 086 head for his turbo project. Sorry

The Ho cams and 2.3 head on a 2.4 won't clear. The intake will not. The exhaust will most likely clear tough. On a 2.4 head, it should fit no problem.

Thanks guys I am using the 086 head & W41 cams for my turbo project but that engine probably won't be finished till near the end of 2007. So in the meantime I'm going to port the 2.4 head that cam with my spare 2.4 motor and install stainless valves new HO springs & HO intake along with the HO cams I have for more power now until my turbo motor is ready. That way when the tracks open back up I'll be able to have some fun with the ricers until " Leathal Weapon" is ready.
I'm also working on my 87 Monte Carlo SS rebuilding the suspension and brakes ( 12"/11" disc) then installing my Procharged/Intercooled 383, TKO 600 5spd & 9" ford rear 3.89 gears for some real fun next Spring.
