i have a 2000 sunfire and im going to do the eco swap this comming summer and i was wondering if i need the wiring harness for the whole car from the donor one or would mine work i have the 2200 with an automatic and i going to swap to 2.2 eco 5 spd problly an 04 thanx for the help
you need the PCM and it's harness. make sure you find one from a 5 speed, as one from an auto is a PITA to get to work with a manual trans.
also, if you have A/C and ABS, make sure the harness that you get comes from a J-body with those options.
with a 2000 model, you shouldn't need a BCM and it's harness. you should be okay there.
