Im wondering What engine mounts do i have availiable? Im guessing theres 3? the upper and lower engine mounts and the tranny mount (4T49E)?

Also, I have never seen an engine damper On a J-Body but I was thinking of gettign one, there inexpencive, look good and would probably do me some good. Are there and Bolt-Ons? Or should I just pcik Up a universal?

Also, With engine mounts, tranny mount, and a damper will I need flex fitting on my exhaust? Its a 2.5" downpipe with 3" stainless back to the tank(then a tundown-dosent go over axle)

I dont think i have ever seen a damper on a jbody but i could be wrong. Turbo tech racing recently released a completly different upper mount.....i bought one to try it out and replace my insert and i dont have more than an 8th in of movement now....i love it...

You have a 4T40E transmission (if it's a 4 speed auto) not a 49, but I'm guessing that was a typo. There are no aftermarket mounts specifically for the 4T40E in our cars at the moment. I understand Turbo Tech Racing will be getting to that eventually.

There are atleast three companies making engine mounts, RKSport, Prothane, and Turbo Tech Racing.

I've never seen or heard of a damper being used on a J.
