so I figure I will keep this post as a running total of how many days my car has consecutively run without incident.
I can't say the same for my trans, but thats because I'm an idiot and bent a shift fork during the 1-2 shift in a burnout at the track. The car shifts into 2nd, but not when over 5000rpm or so..
thats ok tho, I need LSD anyways.. i'll be sure to START my burnouts in 2nd gear now

You should be doing 2nd gear burns anyways...first gear doesn't get the tire spped high enough. Bill Hahn taught me that one. My tires got so much softer at the line after I started doing 2nd gear burns and was able to sit in the box long enough to warm them right.

my first time doing it, I hit a 2.01 60' when I f'd up haha
but then I kinda hurt the trans shortly thereafter and didn't get to try the technique much after that

actually ive already read it, twice. i wanna make sure that i am gonna do this right. i am just sick of the ohv and its "performance" just rediculous. and as for how many times this engine has crapped out on me, yeah its time for something with an aftermarket.
running a 14.00 flat that would beat alot of factory boosted cars SRT4, Cobalt SS G85, Mazdaspeed Protege, even R32 Golfs the list goes on

the engine is getting fully built
I'm at LEAST putting in eagle rods and wiseco pistons 8.9:1 compression
I may also put in the eagle forged crank, and bates engineering high strength steel liners
I'm having a friend make me a turbo header with external wastegate provision for a tial unit not sure which yet...
The turbo of choice is going to be something in the Garrett GT30R family.. possibly the GT35R family not sure yet
injectors are going to be upgraded to 1000cc
fuel pump will get pulled and replaced with an external aeromotive 1000unit and possibly convert to fuel cell
I'll finally install my accell LT1 AFPR
targeted boost is around 30psi
redline is going to be in the neighborhood of 8000rpm or so.. depends on where the turbo will like to breathe
no nitrous
no idea how much power its going to make, but I have a feeling its going to be a LOT.
400hp at the wheels is probably a low-ball estimate
I'm not afraid to push the envelope, and as parts break I'm just going to fix them and keep pushing.
I want high hp on pump gas in a streetable package.. even tho the power is going to be absolute insanity.
