05 ECOTEC anyone know if the ecu gets hot or not? it has the heatsinks on it wich is usually done to cool pieces off but im wondering if they were just added since the ecu is mounted inside the engine bay. if someone could drive around for a while and maybe stop and check the ecu and see how hot it gets i'd appreciate it.

I had one plugged in on a bench for 8 hours, was warm, but not hot.

Probably still won't get hot in a car, but when you start triggering injectors and solenoids with the ecu the case gets a bit warmer than if it's just plugged in on a bench.
