ok well i have a 2.4 in my lil cavy and i am having a antifreeze leaking problem i know its not my water pump cause i have changed it 2 times already thinking maybe i got a bad one but its not that. i cant figure out what it is thats leaking i know its not my heads or head gasket. it leaks while going down the raod. when it sets there and idles it also leaks. when u turn the car off its like it drains some of the antifreeze but not all of it. and sometimes steam will be coming out from under the hood but the car never get near anywhere to where it would over heat. ive looked underneath it and u can see antifreeze down there but i dont know where its coming from because its like its splattered everywhere but its coming out like between the motor and firewall like right down the middle of the motor. but antifreeze never gets to the top of the motor just between the firewall and motor. any help would be appritiated thanks
You may have a broken "Quick connect" fitting where the metal line from the water pump connects to the rubber hose.

ever thought of cleaning the area up and watching for it to leak ?
well i have cleaned it up but it doesnt help its like it spits out but u cant see where its spittin from
i had the same problem in my 01 z24. it was the metal coolant bar on the back of the motor in my case. the one right over the exhaust manifold. check that out and see if that may be your problem. mine also never overheated.
yeah well where ever its leaking i cant see where its coming from its between the firewall and the motor and up above u cant see down low it runs on your face and u cant see where its coming from neither well im not letting it get low enough to overheat but ill take a look at it and see i hope thats what it is im tired of wondering what it is. but Brett what was wrong with yours though was it a seal or hole or what? thanks for the help u guys
yea i have the same problem but to me it seems that when i look at it and touch it , its like water and i'm thinking that the coolant and the oil mixing and i'm not sure if it is doin that then i probably have a bad head gasket righT????/ or what is it ....well where is that "Quick connect" fitting where the metal line from the water pump connects to the rubber hose, located at????thnx..

well u guys it was another bad water pump 3rd one sucks but thanks for the help anyways and if its mixing oil and antifreeze/water yeah u have bad head gasket
