Hello i have finished my guage cluster and i have 2 questions: I can tap the green/ white strip wire in the back of the cluster for the speedometer right?? the second one is: for the tach input i looked under the hood in the fuse box thats off to the side and theres a tach spot but it seems like there is nothing in it, i shoved the wire in it and it slid right through, the company told me to get the signal right at the negative on the coil, but the coils on the back of the motor and i will do anything no to run it there, any suggestions???? I dont think that i have to have a tach adapter as i have a stock one in my car.
thanks for the help as i am trying to mount the cluster tonight
thanks again

as far as i know, if you have the 2.2/2200, you must use the tach adaptor. even though you would think the ecu would have a viable input source for a straight tach signal into the ecu (so it could fire the plugs acurately), there's no such wire to tap. the adaptor actually mounts between the hot wire going to the coil and the coil itself, converthing the individual power draws the coils use into a useable square wave tach signal.

or you can get a tach that reads 2 cyl and connected that because the tach signals from the car only read half of your rpms but if you set it to 2cyl it will read it correctly.
