does anyone know if the 99 sunfire 2.2 head will fit on the 95 sunfire 2.2 engine? if so how much modding will this consist of?

Intake ports are different, coolant passages are different.... that's all that I can think of off hand.

The valvetrain is also different. You would need 98+ headgasket, headbolts, pushrods, intake manifold, coolant lines and adapters, fuel injector harness. You can still use the stock exhaust manifold though lol.
A 2200 head on a 2.2L engine will net you a VERY low compression ratio though, to the point where it wouldn't even be useable. You would also need to swap in 2200 pistons to get to 9:1.
Major reportedly did the swap a while back, although it's never been confirmed. I'm working on it right now.

We did this with a different ride to put boost on it without a headspacer. Worked out very well as far as gains go. Im not sure of exact horsepower, but after boosting i was able to take most street rides in the quarter.

I think at the fastest we pulled a 13.4, but our gtec could have been off.

Anyway, long story short it wasnt worth the cash, you can get more performance out of a eco or 2.3 supercharge swap.
